What is World Time Zones

World time zones are regions of the world that have the same standard time. There are 24 time zones in the world, each approximately 15 degrees of longitude wide, and each one hour ahead or behind of the neighboring time zone. These time zones are based on the Earth’s rotation, which is divided into 24 time zones that represent each hour of the day.

The purpose of time zones is to ensure that everyone in a given region is using the same standard time, which helps avoid confusion when scheduling events, conducting business, or traveling between different parts of the world. Some countries may have more than one time zone due to their geographical size, while others may have just one. Additionally, some countries may observe daylight saving time, which can shift the time zone by one hour during certain months of the year.
