Pretty Woman star Julia Roberts is no stranger to the real estate scene in California. Aside from the two properties in Point Dume that she currently maintains, she also put up her home in Malibu for rent in 2018 for $10,000 a month. Now, she has yet expanded her portfolio by investing in a property in the Bay Area.
Roberts recently purchased a century-old Victorian Revival-style abode located in Presidio Heights for reportedly $8.3 million. The 6,200-square-foot home, which was designed by Sylvain Schnaittacher and renovated by John Wheatman, has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bedrooms across its 5 floors.
The property gives off a historic charm especially with its custom moldings, paneled walls, coffered ceilings, and bay windows. Its front entryway showcases a clean design with its polished hardwood floors and white walls.
A brick red fireplace gives warmth to the home’s living room and is complemented with built-in shelves surrounding it. At the end of the formal dining area is a second fireplace if one just isn’t enough for the award-winning actress. The splashes of olive green on the custom cabinetry and boquette-style breakfast bar adds to the homey feel of the place.
The skylight of the master suite on the top floor lets in ample natural light while the bay window offers amazing views of the sunset. There are also other spots around the house where Roberts can enjoy magnificent sceneries. There are several balconies around the home that provide extra outdoor space, and there is also a back tiered patio where they can enjoy alfresco dining.
Roberts, her husband Daniel Moder, and their three kids can enjoy lazy afternoons in their backyard with 2 lounge areas with marble fireplaces. Aside from that, they can also see views of the hilly neighborhood from their home. There is also a home office with all-white interior walls that has built-in shelves and cabinets.
