Black holes, one of the most mysterious places in space, engulf people even at first glance. So what would happen if a person entered a black hole?
Let’s say we leave the spaceship, which is at a safe distance from the black hole, as the bravest of the crew and we are slowly making our way towards the black hole. We don’t feel anything abnormal yet. As we approach the event horizon of the black hole, time begins to pass more and more slowly for us, but when we look at our watch, we see that it is working normally. because this slowness is actually compared to the time spent outside. If we had the opportunity to see a clock on a spaceship waiting far from the black hole, we would witness it whirling. because the time we are in flows much slower than theirs. If we had managed to get back at this point without breaking into the event horizon, we would have witnessed our friends aging much more than we did.
and inside the event horizon…
For us, there will not be a moment when we realize that we have entered the event horizon, that is, there is no turning back. because we are still in free fall and the strong gravitational force of the black hole affects every part of our body with the same intensity. After this point, it is no longer possible for us to send any signals or messages to our spaceship waiting outside. because even light cannot come out from where we are. But entry is free. So we continue to monitor what’s going on outside. Of course, it seems a little strange because strong gravity bends the light. Also, since the time outside flows faster than we do, we watch what is going on around like a time-lapse movie. For example, we see that the spaceship that is waiting for us far away loses sight of us, giving up hope.
As it continues to fall towards what we call the singularity inside the black hole, at some point the gravitational force no longer affects our entire body equally. such that our feet are closer to the center, so they are starting to pull away from our heads more. because now the difference between the gravitational force acting on our heads and feet is huge. The last thing we will feel on our journey will be this feeling of getting longer. soon after, our body will disintegrate into its molecules and disappear into the singularity.
A brief summary of our experiences:
Our friends watching us from our spaceship outside the black hole are unaware of what is going on. because they will see us slowing down as we get closer to the black hole’s event horizon. Even after we pass the event horizon and die, our friends will never see that we have reached the event horizon.
