Think you have an especially cringy dating horror story to tell? Well, slow your roll there, because Charlize Theron might just have one to top them all.
It would be pretty accurate to assume that being a celebrity comes with its own fair share of weird and unconventional experiences.
As Dave Chappelle famously said, once you’re a celebrity, your chances of getting into trouble or finding yourself in weird situations get pretty high.
In a candid interview with Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night talk show, Charlize opened up about her worst date experience ever- needless to say, it made for some pretty embarrassing TV moments!
Proclaiming her undying love for The Bachelor series, Charlize stated that it was the unpredictability of the show and the roller coaster ride from a viewer’s perspective that got her hooked in the first place.
The dating show bit led to a nice little segway to their next dating conversation where she revealed the worst dating experience back in her 20s.
She recalls being picked up for dinner by a guy who was pretty handsome and judging from things, someone she was really into at the time.
The dinner, according to her, was a lovely affair and both of them had a great time before heading back to her house where the evening ended up in a downward spiral.
Before saying their goodbyes, Charlize remembers giving subtle signals that she would be open for a kiss and the two shared a “really good” snog, following which her date slowly pulled away before whispering to her, “Make out with my nose.”
The Hollywood bombshell was practically in fits of laughter as she retold the events of the evening and admits being extremely taken aback by the unusual request, but since the guy was so irresistibly handsome, she decided to go along with it anyway.
Though it was super weird and uncomfortable for her in that moment, Charlize did not want to spoil it, especially since the guy was really into it.
Charlize admits that nowadays she is more focused on her professional life and two adopted children, August and Jackson so there is a lot less focus on her romantic life, even though she is still single.
So I guess there’s still hope for all the eligible bachelors out there- as long as they don’t turn out to be nose kissing weirdos!
