Alternate main menu background musicCollect all crests to change the main menu background music.

Alternate ending sequenceSuccessfully collect all crests and complete Vs. Cactus King or vs. Ghastly King mode to have Ninjapes appear. Note: If you get one or two platinum crests, you do not have to get all gold crests.

CrestsThere are three main types of crests; the bronze for completing a level, silver for getting 400 or more points, and gold for getting 800 or more points. There is also a secret crest that comes from the moon by getting 1,200 or more (requires skill at grabbing and combos).

Clap and combosIf you do combos and clap for your bananas you will get more points.

Bigger combo in Monkey FestInstead of just clapping and going in the bush immediately, do a backflip into the wall. Jump off the wall, then clap the bush to get your combo up to five. When you go through the wire, do not get the four bananas yet. Instead, hit both drums at once to do a Ground Pound to get the combo at six, then jump off the wire to get it to seven. Then, clap and get the four bananas. Note: These are the first four bananas of the stage. When you go through the stage slightly more, there is a group of banana bunches in bubbles. Do not clap yet. Instead, go through the level more to increase your combo and do not forget to get the flowers. After awhile, you will fly through the tree trunk and pass through the center of the group of bananas. Once here, clap. It is possible to get your combo up to nine, get 1100 off that stage only. Note: Do not get bananas regularly; always do a clap grab in this stage, never just “fall” into them.

Determining what crest you receiveWhatever your health color is when you are fighting a Boss determines what crest you will get. For example, if your life bar is gold, you will receive up to a gold crest. The same goes for all the other crests.

Defeating Dread KongHe is the easiest of the Kongs. Just clap (dodge) and beat like crazy.

Defeating Karate KongThis Kong is fairly difficult. When you attack, he will try to dodge and will be successful about 85% of the time. Only attack after you dodge. He will attack more than once, even at different speeds. You must look carefully. When you get him to about half health, he will stand. His attacks will be faster, but when he attacks and you dodge and it is in slow motion, attack as fast as you can. Repeat this until he has been defeated.

Defeating Ninja KongTry to dodge and attack as usual. When he has half health, he goes crazy. He will attack a lot faster and sometimes dodge to fake you out. Try to keep attacking and about 10% of the time you will hit him to a point to where he is knocked out. Then, get him. Repeat this until he has been defeated.

Defeating Sumo KongWhen fighting Sumo Kong, you cannot dodge. If you do, he will attack and hurt you. Go crazy on the bongos by beating on the drums (not clapping). If you can do this fast enough, you will eventually knock him on his back. Keep doing this until he is defeated.

Defeating the Cactus KingHe can be a very easy Boss. When he is on his pig that breathes fire, clap until you have the flames to the pig then beat on the drums. For the Cactus King, just jump ,clap, dodge, and beat on the drums. Repeat this until he has been defeated. Also, if you clap and enter battle at different sides and angles, you can hurt him in many different ways.

Defeating the Kong BossesWhen you face the Kong Bosses, you can hit them five of the back by just trying to hit them instead of knocking them out. However, the other way may be better.

Control title screenClap at the title screen to move the letters in the “Press Start Button” message.

Easy coinsDo a song that has many rolls (for example, We Will Rock You or the Pokemon Theme). Those songs have lots easy rolls, and on only Monkey Mode you can at least rack 300.

Clap rollWhen you do a clap roll, just blow into the clap sensor. It will let you get massive coinage. This does not damage the sensor. To do a clap roll with your mouth, just purr or do something similar.

Fast coins on rollsThis trick requires a controller with a macro feature. Turn on the macro and use the controller setting where all of the symbols are on the buttons and not the control sticks or triggers. Hold down that button during that roll.

Soft clapInstead of having to clap loudly or take your hands off the bongos, just snap your fingers or give the right side of the bongo (side not surface; the plastic part) a good tap. This will respond as a tap. Also, instead of clapping or hitting the side of the side of the Konga, you can just yelp a small but loud noise.

Gorilla SongsTo get Gorilla Songs, just go into Ape Town and purchase them from the Jungle Jam menu. They all cost different prices.

Never miss bongo beatsWhenever a red, yellow, or pink barrel appears, just hit both bongos. It will show up as a yellow, red or a pink. This helps for the Gorilla songs.

Modes and MP TechniquesThe following can be done while playing in either single player or multi-player mode. However, for the mode to become unlocked in multi-player, you must switch your players to the first slot.

Super Hard mode: Successfully complete Hard mode; this applies to player one only. To unlock it for other players, switch them to the first slot.

Fourth MP Move: Increase your Blast Technique to about 1,000.

Increase MP Power Moves: Keep repeating your MP Moves. Notice that the Tech Ups will increase about 300 tech points and you will level up your move from Petty to Magna.

Undead YardGet five Digivolve Techs on Hard mode to unlock the Undead Yard quest.

Infinite Bits and itemsThis trick requires your main Digimon as player one and any Digimon as player two. Give all your Bits to player two. Then, save player two at the Save Keeper. Next, have player two give all Bits to player one. After that, have player two quit the game at the Save Keeper, but this time without saving. Then, go to Call Keeper and have player two join in again with the same Digimon. Repeat this from the beginning until you have 9,999,999 bits, both in the bank and pocket. Note: You can also use this trick to duplicate items. This is very useful if you want to give some rare weapons and armor to a friend.

Easy experienceIn single player mode, repeat the tutorial about fifteen times, then go to Death Valley. Once there, follow a path and fight some Goburimon; do not go across the bridge. Follow the path up and fight the Goburimon. They will give 10 experience points each. Break, then get the Gate Chip, use it, and repeat. Additionally, go to Death Valley, then to the Fortress. When you are inside the guard room, defeat everyone for 32 experience points per kill. After all the doors open, go outside and enter the fortress again. This must be done two or three times to reach the next level.

Easy tech upsAfter you have unlocked the “Fortress” in Death Valley, whenever you need to equip a new weapon that is too high in tech points, just return to the Fortress and fight up and down the tower multiple times. You will receive between 10 to 60 tech ups in one revolution.

Get 1 HP for side questsTo get a Digivolution by having to end a side quest with 1 HP remaining, go to the Goblin level (this stage is the easiest). Make sure you have a Gate Disc with you. Fight and go to the area after the rolling barrels. When you get there and see the area where you must jump from the rock things to get to the other side, just fall. You will automatically be revived with 1 HP. Then, use the Gate Disc and return to the D.G.S. base. After your return with 1 HP, save the game. Next, go to the desired side quest that requires having 1 HP remaining to get the Digivolution. Note: While on the side quest, make sure you do not get hit by any enemies; this requires extreme practice and skill.

To get a Digivolution by having to end a side quest with 1 HP remaining in Card Retrieve on Hard mode, use the following trick. At the end there is a sand trap that will suck you in if you get too close to it. First, destroy all the enemies that can get in your way. Next, jump into the sand trap. You will be revived with 1 HP remaining. Note: When facing the master of the side quest, try to use MP type attacks or a gun type weapon.

Blunt skill weaponsThe following weapons are not bash but blunt skill weapons: Dbl Axe, Rage Hammer, Hakatoncheir, Fang Smasher, and Meteor Force.

Trading hall weapons in Hard modeThe following weapons in Hard mode will be different from what the dialog states when you check it in the inventory:

The dialog says Death Crimson, but it is a Dark Crimson.

The dialog says Death Bringer, but it is a Doom Bringer.

The dialog says Death Raptor, but it is an Omega Raptor.

Walk on waterWhile riding the boat down the Numenume River, you can jump off it; it does not matter what weapon you have. Get near the edge of the boat. Whenever you get close to any part of land, do a charge attack. The screen should shake and then you should fly off the boat. You will be able to leave the boat behind and walk on water. Note: This will not work every time.

Double Axe descriptionThe game states that Double Axe (all types) is a bash skill weapon. However, when you use it you will gain the blunt skill.

Defeating ApokarimonFirst, destroy the five spike balls on the posts around him, avoiding the fire shots and wind blow. Whenever five flying things come to attack, just block. Do not try to jump on the area that he is on, as you will get shocked. After the spike balls are destroyed, he will shoot a purple attack that follows you. You must run around trying to hit him without getting hit. Magic and a gun weapon work well — you do not have to walk up to him, but they do smaller damage. Physical attacks are more powerful, but you must risk getting close to him.

Defeating Mecha Rouge XTo defeat Mecha Rouge X’s first form, keep hitting him. After a few hits he will transport to one of the outside circles and summon three Mecha Rouges and a light will appear somewhere on the field. If the three Mecha Rouges get to the light, they will transform into copies of Mecha Rouge X with the same health, and it will take the same amount of time to defeat one of those as Mecha Rouge X. The easiest way to defeat Mecha Rouge X is to defeat only two copies. After that, weaken the third until you think he is defeated. Then, weaken the original to that point where it will require one hit to defeat him. Finish the last copy and defeat Mecha Rouge X’s first form. You must now walk into the portal to fight Mecha Rouge X’s second (cocoon) form. If done correctly, this form will be very easy to defeat. Hit the bottom of him. After a few hits he will generate purple rings around where you hit him. Move to the edge of the level. If you touch the purple from the purple rings you will get poisoned. Two things will come out of Mecha Rouge X, and there will be spotlights from bottom of them. Do not get under them or you will be stuck in that location and they will send out two spinning tops that will damage you. Just keep hitting the spot when there are not purple rings. Hit him as much as possible or he will regain health. Once you defeat him, go in the portal and get ready for the final fight with Mecha Ultimate X. Just stay under him and keep attacking to defeat him.

In-flight mechanicIn some levels there are little tank-like units that remain stationary. These are the units that shoot out the lightning and repair structures. They cannot move on their own, but you can pick them up to place them anywhere and they will slowly repair any nearby units or structures. If you pick one up and fly around with it, whenever you take on damage it will fix your ship. Be careful though, because any enemies that may shoot at you from below could hit it, and they cannot repair themselves. However, sometimes it better to leave them near your base so they will repair things as needed.

In-flight artilleryIf you need a little extra firepower for your ship, look for a tank and pick it up. As long as you are holding the tank, it will act like a rotating turret for your ship and fire upon any enemy units that get within its range. The tank’s cannons will rotate 360 degrees so it can attack enemies all around you. This is very useful if you do not want to deal with having to make constant maneuvers to avoid being hit by an enemy that is tailing you.

Save characters unlocked through codesThis trick requires two controllers and a memory card with 8 free blocks. First, create eight user profiles. Select “Battle”. Select “1 on 1 fight”. Choose a profile you wish to have all the characters with (make sure this is player one). With player two, create a new profile (thus now making nine; but this one cannot be saved). Enable all single character codes at the character selection screen for one by one, for player one only. Select any character for player one and two. Win the match with player one (just slam your opponent on the floor and pin him; takes less than twenty seconds). When the game asks to save the new profile (the ninth one you just entered), do not select “Yes” or “Continue without saving”. Blazin movesEvery character has two Blazin moves. To perform their second Blazin move, move to the back side of your opponent, grapple, and move the Right analog-stick. Sometimes this is more effective then their regular Blazin. For example, DMX’s Blazin from behind the opponent is where he breaks their arms and snaps their neck. To do any of the characters’ special moves, while you are in Blazin mode, grapple your opponent and move Right Analog-stick Up or Right Analog-stick Down. They all have two finishing moves (grappled from the front or grappled from the back).

Easy knock outFind your most powerful move and use that a couple times, followed by a couple different moves, then your most powerful move, and repeat until your opponent is in danger. Get a Blazin, then use it against your opponent for a easy knock out.

Easy submissionGrapple an opponent then keep on getting them in submissions. When their head, leg, or arm health runs out, you will automatically win.

Avoid losingWhen your opponent has Blazin, or if your fighter is completely out of health, to avoid being knocked out or pinned, get out of the ring quickly and run around until his Blazin is gone or you have enough health to live on. Note: When you are running around, your opponent’s momentum also decreases.

SkillsIn story mode, before you go up against a challenging opponent, fight many battles in battle mode to earn money for better player attributes. This is very helpful when going up against Snowman, Pockets, and House.

If you already have an I.D. name, choose battle or survival mode at the main menu. Select your I.D. name and pick a fighter. When you win, you will get money. Then, go to story mode and pick your I.D. name. Select the button to put your stats up, and the money you won from the battle will be there. Do this enough and you will have full stats at the beginning of your story mode.

Go to one player and collect money. Then go to another person and collect that money and use it on another person.

Defeating D MobThe easiest way to defeat himis by submission. Throw him against the ropes and walk slowly to him. As he bounces back, get him in a head hold. It takes about eight attempts of these to make D Mob submit. After his head health meter is empty, you must repeat the tactic two more times.

Defeating Pockets, House, and SnowmanWhen you fight Pockets, House, and Snowman, beat on one of them. Then, run away and work on one opponent at a time. When one of them is in danger, use your Blazin against him and you will automatically K.O. that person and win the match. Remember, keep running.
